After a brief break from its classrooms, MODA Modeling School will open doors once again to new students aspiring to become some of the best top models in the fashion industry. MODA screens applicants for weeks, sometimes months, selecting those who are most likely to succeed. MODA is known for serious and personalized training, and it is our goal that every one of our students moves forward toward a long and valuable career. We want our students to lead, and we look for qualities that leadership requires. If you are interested, please complete the application here.

ABOUT US

MODA Modeling School opened its doors in 2006. Jujudoll’s first official session began with 7 students, four later became full partners in MODA Modeling School, as the need for quality instruction increased, as did MODA’s notoriety on the Second Life fashion scene. Today, MODA continues to host small classes, several times a year, producing some of the most prominent and sought-after fashion models in Second Life. Many of MODA’s students have continued in their careers to open top-rated modeling agencies and production companies, and are regarded as being the best models, mentors and leaders in the Second Life Fashion industry.

IS MODA RIGHT FOR ME?

Are you looking to be among the best top models in Second Life?  Are you willing to learn new skills and train with elite modeling professionals in order to get to the top? Modeling is an exciting and competitive career, and can be very rewarding for who understand the fashion industry and are able to perform consistently as a model.  Learning the right skills and possessing the right attitude will take you a long way toward becoming the top in your field.  Earn the recognition you deserve by training with the most experienced modeling school in Second Life.

AM I RIGHT FOR MODA?

MODA values quality.  We are interested in students who are wiling to work hard and learn new skills, who will participate in class and enjoy seeing the changes they are able to accomplish along the way.  We do not pass out notecards or cheat sheets at MODA.  Instead, we offer interactive, educational classes that will give you all that you need to be on the pathway to success. MODA teaches classes starting with maximizing you skills, tailored to a career in fashion.  Personal styling, photography, interviewing and posing are all included in our curriculum.  MODA teaches all aspects of fashion shows and production so you are more than just a model, you are a skilled model, able to work in any situation. All classes are taught by professional models and instructors, many who have years of modeling experience in Second Life. Their active careers and dedication to quality are what motivates them to assist you in your modeling career.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Each session is designed to complete in 6 weeks.  Schedules are discussed at the beginning of each session so you will know in advance what your 6 week schedule will be.   Make up classes are generally not an option, however, if you miss classes, you will be able to make them up during future sessions.

WHAT TIMES ARE THE CLASSES AND WHEN ARE THEY HELD?

Classes are typically held on weekdays, Tuesday through Friday between 7pm and 9pm SLT

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

L$8000

DO I HAVE TO BUY A PORTFOLIO?

You will have a beautiful modeling portfolio when we are done with you, and you will know how to keep it updated.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR PICTURES?

Once again, you will have all of that at MODA.  Everything you need is included. You only have to pay for your own upload fees.

DO YOU GUARANTEE PLACEMENT WITH A MODELING AGENCY?

We cannot guarantee placement.  All of our students who have taken all the classes and applied the information given them, are now working for agencies and designers as high-quality fashion models.  We give you the information, we help you to understand it and we show you just what you need to do.  We prepare you, we help you to market yourself, we put you on the runway with some of the top models and the top designers in Second Life.   The rest is up to you.

I’M ALREADY SIGNED WITH A MODELING AGENCY, CAN I STILL TAKE CLASSES AT MODA?

We already train models who work with the top modeling agencies in Second Life.

HOW DO I GRADUATE?

Like most modeling academies, MODA produces the MODA Fashion Showcase events after each session is completed.  This, along with a detailed written exam will determine your graduation status only after you have completed all classes.

ARE THERE ANY OPPORTUNITIES AT MODA AFTER GRADUATION?

Some graduates aspire to work on the MODA Spotlight team, some enjoy mentoring, assisting coaches, assisting instructors, photographing fashion shows, blogging, corresponding with designers, or working behind the scene producing fashion shows.  There is always a place for the right people at MODA.  We love to keep you busy!

WHAT MAKES MODA SO DIFFERENT?

MODA is the oldest and most successful modeling school and fashion production company in Second Life.  We are not an agency, we don’t make money when you model, and we do not dedicate staff to a magazine; MODA is the cutting edge of fashion production and we are a Modeling School.  MODA specializes in training models to be the best and most sought-after models in Second Life.  Our staff is dedicated to helping you in your journey to the top.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Just fill out the application here: MODA MODELING SCHOOL STUDENT APPLICATION PAGE You will be notified if you are accepted, and asked to join the MODA Modeling Students Group, which informs you of upcoming sessions and MODA events. ** some potential students will be asked to participate in a pre-admission interview.  We want to make sure you will be able to fully appreciate your experience at MODA Modeling School.

“Moda offers detailed classes that other schools don’t offer! They offer a variety of times to accomodate their students, and the instructors listen and take extra time if you need the extra help.” RhiannaLynn Lane, MODA graduate, Spotlight model, Assistant Coach

“Definitely would recommend MODA and have done so. It encompasses all areas of modeling, gives the student confidence to go out into the world of modeling, and if accepted on the Spotlight Team the student gets extensive experience which is invaluable. Entering MODA was the best decision I ever made in my modeling career.” Gamp Lane, MODA Graduate, Spotlight model, successful Fashion Model

“Yes I would recommend MODA. You definately get your worth in lindens. The instructors were friendly, helpful and knowledgable in every subject. They cared about your success and always available for questions.” Kathy Nikolaidis, MODA Graduate, former Spotlight model
